Photographic Archive<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Kythera Photographic Archive, now officially a part of the Greek State Archives, was launched in 2023 by John Stathatos under the auspices of KIPA. Housed in two rooms of the ground floor of the historic Kythera State Archives building in Chora Castle. Its purpose is to house a permanent collection of photographs of Kythera and of Kytherians both here and in the Diaspora, ranging from early 19<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> century portraits to contemporary imagery in many different media, from glass negatives to digital photos. The core of the collection are the large archives of father and son Kytherian photographers Panayotis and Manolis Fatseas, covering a period of some sixty years between them, but much additional material has by now been added, from formal wedding portraits from Australia and the USA to work by well-known eponymous Greek photographers.
