A visitor information kiosk about the ‘Kythera Trails’ is situated at Kythera State Airport ‘Alexandros Aristotelous Onassis’ from 21st March 2021.
This information facility aims to provide short but comprehensive information to travellers (one stop shop) about the innovative network of trails of Kythera “Kythera Trails”, while they are waiting to receive their luggage.
The facility has a screen that will display a video with footage from the paths of Kythera and an animation video (under construction), where visitors will be able to obtain a brochure, which will be available in four languages (Greek, English, French and German). On the side of the kiosk a map depicts the organized paths of Kythera and the internet links of the Kythera Trails. In addition, there will be QR codes that will lead to an application for smartphones (under construction).

The bodies that collaborate in the Programme were willing to install the facility. It is a gift offered to the local community, being a tool for the sustainable tourism development on the island and the extension of the tourist season.

The action was co-financed by the Local Programme CLLD / LEADER 2014 – 2020 “Culture and Environment at Sea” and the Mediterranean Institute for Nature and Anthropos (MedINA) in cooperation with the Kytherean Foundation for Culture and Development (KIPA), the Civil Aviation Service and the State Airport of Kythera “Alexandros Aristotelous Onassis”. The application was designed and implemented by Kappagram with the support of all contributors.
